I’ve been on the keto diet for approximately 3 months now, and wow, I’ve lost weight and feel great. The keto diet is a popular weight loss diet that involves eating a lot of fat and low carbs to shed extra pounds. There’s a lot of information about keto out there, and many people assume that it is the same as Atkins, which it isn’t. For those of you who follow a low carb diet, you’ve likely heard of Atkins, but it’s not the same as keto.

The temptation to eat out is great, especially when you are trying to lose weight. But a meal that is quick and convenient and that tastes good is a win-win. When you make your own, you know the ingredients and it is more likely to be in your budget too. This dish is quick and easy to make and you can have it on the table in minutes.. Lamb curry in a Keto Sindhi style with cauliflower rice



Cumin, green cardamom, and pepper provide a great taste to this Sindhi-style lamb curry. The meat is cooked until it is falling off the bone tender. It’s savory but not too hot, and it’s a delicious Indian keto meal!

Medium (15 m + 1 h)



    1. In a pressure cooker, cook the lamb for 30-35 minutes on high with the water and salt. Prepare the cauliflower rice in the meanwhile. Remove the meat and set aside the stock when it’s done.

    2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter or ghee over medium heat. Add the onions and cook, stirring continuously, until they begin to brown.

    3. Add pepper, green cardamom, and cumin to taste. Cook for 2 minutes, or until the spices are fragrant.

    4. Fry the lamb chunks with the ginger garlic mixture until the meat begins to take on color.

    5. Cook for a few more minutes after adding the tomatoes.

    6. Simmer for 5-10 minutes with the leftover lamb stock. You may now add the xanthan gum to thicken the curry.

    7. Serve with cilantro as a garnish.

Rice made with cauliflower

  1. Grate the cauliflower in a food processor or by hand on a box grater with big holes.

  2. In a pan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the cauliflower rice after the butter has melted.

  3. Season with salt and mix well. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the cauliflower is soft, covered with the lid. Make sure nothing adheres to the bottom of the pan by stirring every 2 minutes.

  4. Remove the cauliflower when it’s cooked and serve it with the lamb curry.


I am a huge fan of Indian food. I have always loved curry and I was never one to skip a creamy delicious curry just because it was too high in carbs. It is not that I disliked the flavors or the textures of Indian food. In fact, I was absolutely in love with the curry. I just did not know what to do with the carbs that were in it.
