Blue-cheese sauce on keto pork chops
In this incredibly easy and delicious dish, a salty and flavorful blue cheese sauce dresses up the ordinary pork chop—and figuratively takes it to the prom. Turn on your cooktop and get ready to dance!
Place the cheese in a small saucepan over medium heat and crumble it. Adjust the heat as needed to let it to melt slowly. Make sure it doesn’t burn. Add the cream once the cheese has melted and turn up the heat a bit. Allow it cook for a few minutes.
Using salt and pepper, season the chops. Cook for 2-3 minutes in a skillet over medium-high heat before turning. Internal temperature should be 145°-160°F (63°-71°C). Cover with foil and let aside for 2-3 minutes.
Pour the juices from the pan into the cheese sauce. Stir it in and reheat it if necessary. Taste the sauce before adding any more salt, since blue cheese is typically very salty.
Green beans should be trimmed and rinsed. On medium heat, fry them in butter for a few minutes. Salt & pepper to taste.
Change things up a little! This extremely flexible dish goes well with any kind of meat, whether bone-in or boneless. Filet or chops are good choices. Beef, hog, or lamb are all good choices. This sauce elevates even the most basic fowl, such as chicken or turkey. Just keep in mind how much flavor the skin and fat of these meats provide to a dish—leave them on if at all possible!
