I am sure you have seen all of the “low carb” diet products on the market. Once you know that they are low carb, you are probably wondering what the health benefits are. Well, low carb diets are a great way to shed unwanted pounds and improve overall health. Keto diets, for example, are high in fat and protein, but low in carbs, which can make you feel fuller longer. Instead of having to eat increasingly large portions to feel full, feel free to enjoy smaller portions of the same foods you eat on a typical day. French pancakes made with keto ingredients
Breakfast, lunch, or dessert, these light-as-a-feather French pancakes, also known as crêpes, are ideal. For a satisfying keto dessert that the entire family will love, top with berries and gently whipped cream.
Using a hand mixer, combine eggs, cream, water, and salt in a mixing dish.
While continuing to mix, gradually whisk in the psyllium husk until you have a smooth batter. Allow for at least 10 minutes of resting time.
Pancakes should be fried with butter, exactly like normal pancakes. 12 cup (1 dl) batter per pancake is a good estimate. Keep your frying pan on medium-high heat and make sure it’s not too large or too hot. Don’t rush the process; wait until the top is almost dry before flipping.
Start by cooking a tiny pancake to see whether the batter is holding together. The final outcome may vary depending on the type of psyllium husk used, as well as the size of the eggs used. If the batter becomes too thick, thin it with additional cream, milk, or water. If the mixture is too thin, add additional psyllium husk.
You may top the pancakes with whipped cream and/or your favorite fruit.
