This mayonnaise has a creamy, wasabi-like taste without the pungent kick of wasabi. The paste is made mostly from mayonnaise, wasabi paste, and  hot pepper sauce. The texture is more like a thick mayonnaise and not too runny. The wasabi flavor comes from a combination of the wasabi paste and hot pepper sauce. If you can’t get wasabi paste, just add more hot pepper sauce. This mayo is also great on veggies, eggs, or fish!

At first glance, mayo seems like an odd choice for a low carb dipping sauce. After all, mayonnaise is high in fat, and low in carbs. But mayo is also an emulsifier, which makes it the perfect ingredient in keto mayo. It adds the creamy texture and spreadability that makes mayo so versatile. Studies show that fat is the best source of calories for weight loss and that fat is more filling than carbs in the long run.

Mayonnaise is one of the most versatile foods in the kitchen (and on the table). It’s great on salads, sandwiches, and sandwiches, and it’s also great on burgers, fish, and chicken. But would you believe I can’t find a decent mayonnaise recipe anywhere?

5 mEasy

  1. It’s easy to make your own wasabi mayonnaise. It’s ready when you combine wasabi paste with mayonnaise. Start with 12 tablespoons wasabi paste in a cup of mayonnaise and gradually increase the quantity until the heat and flavor are to your liking.

  2. Brands differ in terms of heat and flavor. To evaluate how spicy your wasabi paste is, put some on your finger and taste it.

  3. Refrigerate for up to 4-5 days before serving.

Most grocery store wasabi pastes contain very little genuine wasabi, or namida, as it is also known. Horseradish and food coloring are typically included in the premixed paste. It’s preferable to purchase genuine wasabi powder and create your own paste by combining equal parts water and powder.

This recipe is inspired from a few things I love. First, mayo. I love mayo. Second, wasabi. I love wasabi, too. Third, I love  mayo and wasabi together. I’m sure you can imagine how I feel about the combination of these three things. I was eating this stuff before I was eating salad..
