These delicious roasted nuts are the perfect appetizer to serve at any gathering – no matter the season. After the holidays, you’ll want to save them for everyday snacks. Careful, these nuts are addictive!

You probably already know that I love spices!

I wanted these roasted nuts to have the salty crunch of a gourmet snack. Maybe I’m bragging a bit, but they really hit the nail on the head.

I like to mix my own spices. When making this recipe, I was inspired by some of my favorite combinations.

You should probably double the batch right away, because you might eat half of them before they have a chance to be a Christmas present. It’s also a great recipe to bring to your Christmas party.

Oven-roasted pecans are a great alternative to all those festive pastries. When faced with an overly sweet feast, these well-cooked and seasoned nuts are a real lifeline.

I originally made them as vegetarian condiments and used avocado oil instead of butter because my daughter was vegetarian at the time.

Canned and roasted nuts make great gifts for the holidays.

Use your favorite nut mixture for this recipe. I like to make these tasty cooked and roasted nuts after Christmas, when I have a lot of randomly chosen nuts left over from different recipes.

Ingredients

  • Your favorite peanuts. I used almonds, pecans and hazelnuts. You can use all your favorite nuts for this recipe.
  • Avocado oil. I love the taste of butter or avocado oil in this recipe. Melted butter or coconut oil is an excellent alternative if you don’t have avocado oil.
  • The spices. There are many different spices in this recipe. Trust me, it’s worth it to make sure you have everything. The combination of spicy flavors is certainly relevant.

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1 Mix the spice mixture

Place all spices in a small bowl and stir briefly with a fork or small whisk. Leave her out of this.

Step 2 Loosen the nuts on the baking sheet.

Spread the mixed nuts in a single layer on the baking sheet.

Step 3 Assigning Notes

Moisten the nuts with oil and crack them again. Now sprinkle the spice mixture over the nuts and stir to coat them.

Cooking times may vary as oven temperatures can vary greatly. Be sure to store and keep an eye on the nuts, as roasted nuts can burn quickly if the oven is too hot.

These are my official Christmas spice nuts. I make them every year, give them as gifts and nibble on all the holiday spices. The most delicious roasted nuts are the perfect keto snack. As you relax under the sea, these sweet notes are the perfect change.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 ℉.
  • Toast the nuts on a baking sheet for about 15 minutes. Make sure they don’t burn out.
  • Heat oil and seasoning in a heavy skillet.
  • Add the hot nuts to the heated spices and mix well.
  • Spread out on a baking sheet and let cool.
  • Keep in a closed container.
