Pour in the broth and set the bottom of the pot on fire. Add the potatoes, salt and pepper. Mix well. Place the lid on the instant pot and set it to Seal and then Pressure Cooking. Put eight minutes on the timer. Once it’s done, let it rest for another 10 minutes to release naturally. After 10 minutes, perform a quick, controlled release to get rid of residual steam.

While letting the steam escape naturally, mix the flour and butter in a bowl until the mixture is smooth to make the roux.

Once the pressure is released, remove the lid and place the saucepan on top of the sauce. Bring to a boil, then add the roux and stir until the soup thickens.
