Chicken Korma Recipe is the most loved and often the most indulged recipe from my favorite Indian cuisine. However, it is also the most time-consuming one, so I am sharing with you a quick and easy shortcut to get the same taste out of this tasty curry.

It is no surprise to anyone who lives in a metro that chicken tikka masala is one of the most popular dishes at Indian restaurants. While it can be a bit challenging to make at home, it is not hard to find a good one on the menu somewhere. Sure, there are going to be some places that will use questionable ingredients, but you can make a lot of changes to make it healthier (and cheaper) than the restaurants.

Chicken Korma is one of the most popular non-vegetarian dishes in the world, and the ones that you make at home are always so tastier than the ones you get in restaurants. But, what is a Chicken Korma really? It’s a very fragrant dish that uses the spices like garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves. It usually uses yogurt, cream, paneer, and of course, the most famous ingredient, chicken.

Richly spiced with lots of spices and tender, juicy pieces of chicken, Chicken Korma is a delicious, healthy and easy to prepare traditional Indian dish that can be made in about 45 minutes. This delicious curry is a meaty alternative to vegetarian food, but it tastes just as mildly spicy as the creamy sauce. Serve the homemade chicken dish with Indian bread like naan, chapati or basmati rice. This is a great recipe to make overnight and enjoy for a week.

Preparation of feed for hens

Delicious chicken food starts with the marinade. Mix the chicken with the yogurt, ginger and garlic paste and the spices to season the meat. You can do this a few hours before cooking or while cooking.

Fry the cardamom pods and onions in oil until the onions are golden brown. Add the almonds and cashews and allow the mixture to cool completely before transferring to a blender and pureeing. Heat some more oil and add the herbs. Now it’s time to make the sauce.

Then add the onion puree and a little water and mix well. Add the rest of the spices and the salt, turn the heat down low and simmer until the chicken is cooked but not yet tender. Cook the korma a little longer to give the sauce the right thickness, sprinkle generously with chopped fresh coriander and serve hot.

Tips for making a simple chicken feed

– For a tastier chicken, marinate for 2 hours or overnight.

– You can use coconut milk instead of plain yogurt for this chicken feed recipe.

– For a very rich and creamy dish, add a little heavy cream just before serving.

– Use boneless chicken for this recipe.

– If the sauce is too thick, add a little hot water to thin it out.

How to store chicken feed

To store fresh leftover chicken feed, put it in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator. Reheat and enjoy for 2 or 3 days.

In a large bowl, mix the chicken, yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, chili powder and salt. Cover and set aside.

Heat the oil, add the cardamom and the chopped onion. Fry the onions over medium-high heat until golden brown. Add the cashews and almonds and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.

Once cooled, put the onion mixture in a blender. Add the yogurt and mix until you have a smooth puree. Set it aside.

Heat the oil. Add bay leaves, cloves and cinnamon and roast until fragrant, about 45 seconds. Add the green chili and chicken. Cook over medium heat for 5-6 minutes.

Add the onion puree and ½ cup of water. Add salt, coriander powder, garam masala and chili powder. Turn the heat down to low and cook until the chicken is cooked through.

Continue cooking until the sauce reaches the desired consistency. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.
