What Is Doner Kebab and How Does It Work?

A doner kebab is technically seasoned beef piled vertically and grilled on a rotisserie, in addition to being tasty. As the meat cooks, the outer layer is cut into thin shavings to serve.

Ingredients for Doner Kebab

Despite the fact that the doner kebab is often served in areas where pork is not consumed, we adapted this recipe for pig enthusiasts. For this dish, pork loin is soft enough; don’t use another cut that needs a lengthy cooking time.

Bacon – Doner kebab is typically very fatty, but we added bacon for additional fat since the pork tenderloin is lean. For the greatest results, use streaky bacon; lean back bacon will not work as well.

Ingredients for the marinade – the pork tenderloin has minimal taste due to its leanness and lack of fat. This is why marinating the pig in these delicious spices is so important.

Pineapple – the pineapple’s fruitiness pairs nicely with the fiery and salty beef.

Bake until the meat is golden brown and cooked through. Serve with the leftover chopped pineapple and a dipping sauce of your choice.

This dish may be made ahead of time. Simply prepare the pineapple and marinade the meat the day before (it may be marinated for up to 24 hours). You may bake it the day before you serve it.
